MINRESI now has a Multi-Media Centre
The centre was officially launched together with a two story building, by Minister Madeleine Tchuinte last Friday.
The Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation, Dr. Madeleine Tchuinte, last Friday, August 8, 2008, proceded in a series of inaugurations of her Ministerial Department. These included, a multi-media centre and a newly constructed two story building occupying other services of MINRESI. Accompanied by her closed collaborators headed by the Secretary General, Dr Maurice DOUBE, last week’s event provided yet another opportunity for the Minister to revisit the central services of the Ministery.
The first lap of the inauguration was at the multi-media centre comprising closed to thirty complete computer sets, financed from the 2007 investment budget of MINRESI. Occupying part of a structure of the Ministry, the multi-media center area has been given a face lift conducive enough to provide an enabling working condition for its users. Cutting the ribon last Friday by Minister Madeleine Tchuinte, officially opens the center for users to carry out their activities, particularlly for researchers. As part of efforts to ease restauration thereby ameliorate the working conditions of her collaborators, Minister Tchuinte instructed that, part of the renovated building be used as a restaurant.
From the centre, the Minister proceded to the newly constructed two story building which has been in use for sometime. However, the cutting of the ribon last Friday during the innaugural ceremony officially puts it into use. According to reliable sources, the building had suffered the fate of contractors mafia, before her arrival to this ministerial department. Upon her arrival at the helm of MINRESI Minister Tchuinte relaunched another public tender for its construction which was just at the foundation level. Haven constructed, the structure has gone a long way to reduce the lack of space, as it now habours other services of the ministry.
At the end of the innaugurations and visit of the services which was simultaneously carried out, the Minister cautioned her collaborators to make good use of the centre and handle with care all working equipment which have been placed at their disposal. She also promissed to make available materials to the various offices which are lacking. On the other hand, she promised applying draconian measures on those who by any means will have to account for the whereabout of any equipment.
